Calculation and Decomposition of the Hidden Carbon in the Export Trade of the Pearl River Delta Region—Empirical Analysis Based on Input-output Model and Structural Decomposition
Firstly, based on the data from the Pearl River Delta from 2016 to 2020,the input-output method was used to calcu-late the implied carbon emissions from export trade. Then, the SDA decomposition model was used to analyze the main influencing factors from three levels:scale, structure, and technology. The research results indicate that the net input of the Pearl River Delta has shown a downward trend since 2016;From the decomposition of the implicit carbon structure in sub sector export trade,it can be seen that the overall scale effect shows three stages:rapid increase, peak, and gradual decrease; The majority of the benefits of de-partmental structure effects are negative, indicating that the industrial structure of the Pearl River Delta region is relatively reason-able and can effectively suppress the growth of carbon emissions. In view of this,it is believed that the Pearl River Delta should opti-mize the structure of import and export products in the region, increase innovation in green and low-carbon technologies, and encour-age regional cooperation to reduce emissions.
