Controlled Study of Infrared Light Pain Therapy Device Combined with Methotrexate on Pain,Anxiety and Depression in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis
Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of the infrared pain treatment device combined with methotrexate in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, and to observe its ability to improve anxiety and depression in patients. Methods 76 rheumatoid arthritis patients with anxiety or depression were selected and randomly divided into a control group and a treatment group with 38 patients in each group. Both groups received routine medication treatment, and the patients in the treatment group received addition-al treatment with an infrared pain therapy device for a duration of 10 days.Compare before and after intervention using the ACR50,multiple clinical observation indicators,Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS).Results After 10 days of treatment, the effective rate of ACR50 in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The self VAS evaluation and doctor evaluation scores of the treatment group decreased, morning stiffness improved, and the number of painful and swollen joints relieved was better than that of the control group, with sta-tistical significance(P<0.05).The improvement in SAS and SDS scores in the treatment group was better than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of infrared pain therapy equipment has a posi-tive effect on improving symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, controlling disease activity, and reducing negative emotions such as anxi-ety and depression in patients.
