Bayesian Meta-analysis of the Effect of Traditional Exercises on Depressive Symptoms in Middle-aged and Elderly People
Objective To comprehensively evaluate the efficacy of four traditional exercises in the treatment of depressive symptoms in middle-aged and elderly people based on Bayesian model network Meta-analysis.Method The experimental studies on the effects of traditional exercises on depressive symptoms in middle-aged and elderly people were retrieved from CNKI,Wan-fang,PubMed and other databases from the establishment of the database to December 20,2023.The Cochrane Handbook was used to evaluate the literature quality of the included studies, and RevManager5.4 and Stata16.0 software were used to perform Bayesian network Meta-analysis on the extracted data.Result A total of 39 articles were included, with a total of 3 187 participants. The results of network Meta-analysis showed that SDS:Baduanjin(84.8)>Tai Chi(66.8)>Yijinjing(47.1)>Wuqinxi(32.8)>routine intervention(18.6);HAMD:Baduanjin(98.4)>Tai Chi(64.5)>Yijinjing(43.7)>Wuqinxi(42.3)>routine intervention(1.1);SCL-90:Wuqinxi(75.1)>Baduanjin(63.0)>Yijinjing(55.6)>Tai Chi(51.7)>routine intervention(4.5).Conclusion Tra-ditional exercises have a positive effect on improving the depressive symptoms of middle-aged and elderly people;the Baduanjin is the best intervention method to improve the indicators of depressive symptoms(SDS,HAMD)in middle-aged and elderly people;five-animal exercise has the best effect on regulating depressive symptoms(SCL-90)in middle-aged and elderly people. Therefore, when families, communities and medical institutions provide exercise therapy for middle-aged and elderly people with depression, they can choose Baduanjin and Wuqinxi to intervene to improve their compliance with exercise therapy.
