Application of Microorganisms in Industrial Wastewater Treatment
As the largest industrial country in the world,the task of industrial wastewater treatment for China is arduous and ur-gent.The pollutants of industrial wastewater are mainly divided into organic pollutants,inorganic pollutants,heavy metal pollutants and new pollutants.Among different industrial wastewater treatment methods,the biological treatment method with microorganisms as the main participant has been attracted more and more attention because of its advantages of high efficiency,low cost,good envi-ronmental protection and sustainability.This article summarizes the main pollutants of industrial wastewater from different indus-tries,as well as the principle and main functional bacteria of microbial wastewater treatment,and analyzes the challenges of microbi-al wastewater treatment technology,which could help people understand the role of microorganisms in the control process of indus-trial wastewater.
