As a"sharp tool"for supervising and restraining the operation of power,accountability plays an extreme-ly important role in the process of national governance.With the reform of the discipline inspection and supervision system,China's accountability system has undergone profound changes,and influenced by the historical logic,po-litical system and realistic governance needs,it has formed an effective mechanism for problem detection,deviation correction and precise accountability.The operational mechanism of precise accountability contains stable institu-tionalized features and adaptive situational variables,aiming at the organic unification of political,disciplinary and social effects.Facing the problems of ineffective,generalized and simplistic accountability in reality,the accounta-bility system,which is based on"internal accountability"and"supervisory accountability",should be consolidated under the premise of strengthening the unified leadership of the Party in accountability work,and the rule of law thinking and way should be used to improve the precise accountability mechanism.
