Succession,Enhancement and Innovation:The Political Development Dimension of Comprehensive and Strict Governance over the Party
How power generates authority is a core issue in political life.In the view of political development,pow-er generating authority has the normative path that emphasizes the restraint of power and the efficiency path that fo-cuses on the performance of power.The normative path generates two kinds of authority,ideological and jurispru-dential,while the efficiency path gives birth to the performance-based authority.Modern political authority is a complex of ideological,performance-based and jurisprudential authority and how to shape it is the main task of modern politics.In the course of a hundred years of political development,the Communist Party of China has experienced the evolution from ideological authority to performance-based authority and then to the construction of multi-compound authority.Since the 18th National Congress of the CPC,the comprehensive and strict governance over the Party has continued to promote the strengthening and integration of the three types of authority in various ways.In this process,the outline of a ternary structure authority complex different from Western-style political authority is gradually clear,which becomes the core component of Chinese-style modern political plate.
