The Impact of Economic Income on the Health of Elderly People in Urban Areas of China
With the acceleration of China's aging population and the continuous improvement of urbanization level,the number of urban elderly population has increased significantly and rapidly.However,the ability of retired ur-ban elderly to cope with daily life and disease risks has weakened,and their health security has been adversely af-fected in various aspects.Economic income not only has a significant positive impact on the health of urban elderly people,but also provides them with opportunities to pursue higher quality of life,improve their sense of happiness and life satisfaction.Therefore,China should further lower the threshold for urban elderly people to join the pension insurance system,simplify the joining procedures,and ensure that all urban elderly people can join the pension in-surance system;Regular adjustment of pension standards should be made to ensure the purchasing power of pension funds;Measures should be taken to improve the living conditions and environment of elderly people in urban areas,ensure their nutrition and food safety,and provide comprehensive health services.These measures can indirectly improve the economic income and health level of urban elderly people.
