Set against the backdrop of increasingly severe environmental problems and a new industrial revolution driven by internet technology,and based on the data of A-share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2007 to 2021,this paper explores the impact and mechanisms of network infrastructure construction on corporate green innovation.The study finds that network infrastructure construction significantly promotes green innovation in enterprises.This conclusion holds even after considering endogeneity,substituting key variables,and adjusting the sample.Mechanism tests show that network infrastructure construction facilitates green innovation by enhancing dig-italization,optimizing human capital structure,and alleviating financing constraints.Furthermore,the impact of network infrastructure construction on green innovation is more pronounced in heavily polluting and state-owned enterprises.This study highlights the critical role of network infrastructure in fostering corporate green innovation,enriches and expands the study of the effects of network infrastructure construction,and has positive implications for further deepening the digital economy and promoting corporate green innovation.
