Spatiotemporal Characteristics of Ecosystem Service Value and Causes in Huodong Mining Area
The Huodong mining area is a national planning mining area and faces the contradiction between human activities such as mining and ecological protection,so study on the ecosystem services of mining areas is important for protecting its eco-security pat-tern.Based on land use data from 2000 to 2020,we analyzed the land use changes in Huodong mining area, estimated the ecosystem service value(ESV)of the Huodong mining area using the equivalent factor method, and used geographic detectors to further ex-plore the drivers of ecosystem service value. The results show that:(1)The main types land use in Huodong mining area are forest and grassland, the dynamic degree of land use in Huodong mining area is not high during the 21 years, the area of grassland has de-creased.(2)The ecological service value of the Huodong mining area increased by 29 million yuan from 2000 to 2020,showing a relatively stable spatial pattern characterized by high in the north and low in the south. The high-value areas and hotspot areas are mainly distributed in the northwestern and central forests of mining area. The medium-value areas are distributed around the high-value areas. The low-value areas and cold spots are concentrated in the southwest of the mining area and on both sides of the Qinhe River and its tributaries, mainly consisting of cultivated land and grassland, presenting a distribution pattern of"one cluster and mul-tiple stripes";(3)Geographic detectors shows that natural factors dominate the impact of ESV at the Hodong mining area, and the de-gree of land use has the most significant effect on the value of ecological services in the Huodong mining area, with factor contribu-tion rates of more than 0.5.The contribution rates of elevation, slope, temperature and soil erosion all reach 0.25 or higher. Most of the factors enhanced each other, with human activities enhancing the influence of natural factors on ecosystem services. The results provide a reference for ecosystem conservation and land resource utilization in Huodong mining area.
