大型强子对撞机(LHC)上质心能量为2.76 TeV时,紧凑渺子线圈(CMS)探测器利用质子-质子对撞实验测量了单喷注产生的双微分散射截面,文章研究该实验数据对CT18NNLO部分子分布函数(PDFs)的影响.利用NLOJet++和CT18NNLO部分子分布函数计算出单喷注产生的双微分散射截面,并与CMS 2.76 TeV实验数据进行比较,大部分数据点的理论预测与测量的散射截面一致.进一步,用ePump(error PDF updating method package)更新CT18NNLO部分子分布函数得到CT18NNLO+Jet部分子分布函数.结果显示,当能量标度Q=100 GeV时,在大x范围内(x>0.3),CT18NNLO+Jet胶子部分子分布函数的中心值相比CT18NNLO胶子部分子分布函数而言急剧下降;在0.1<x<0.4区间内,CT18NNLO+Jet胶子部分子分布函数的误差相比CT18NNLO胶子部分子分布函数而言减小了1%.
Impact of the Inclusive Jet Data on Parton Distribution Functions
We study the impact of the inclusive jet data from the Compact muon Solenoid(CMS),at the Large Hadron Collider(LHC),at a center-of-mass energy of 2.76 TeV,on CT18 Parton Distribution Functions(PDFs)at the next-to-next-to leading order(NNLO)accuracy,using the fast and efficient tool-Error PDF Updating Method Package(ePump).First,we calculate the inclusive jet double differential cross-section with non-pertubative correction using CT18NNLO PDFs at the next-to leading order(NLO)accura-cy.Then,using error PDF updating method package,the CMS 2.76 TeV inclusive jet double differential cross-section data and theo-retical prediction,we update the CT18NNLO PDFs.We find the error band of the gluon PDF reduced by 1%in the range 0.1<x<0.4,the central value dramatically decreased in the high x range(x>0.3)at Q=100 GeV.We also provide the ratios of the NLO QCD theoretical predictions from CT18NNLO and CT18NNLO+Jet to the measurement of the double-differential inclusive jet pro-duction cross-section.The predictions are in agreement with the measured cross-section for most of the data points.
