Numerical analysis of connection strength of axial extrusion joint for aviation hydraulic pipeline
In view of the problem that the current aviation hydraulic pipe joint cannot meet the requirements of high working pressure, taking the Φ12 mm titanium alloy axial extrusion joint as the research object, the finite element model of axial extrusion connection form-ing and pulling-out test process were established by Abaqus platform. The accuracy of the finite element model was verified by pulling-out test under the same parameter condition. The results show that the calculation error of the finite element model is only 3.4%,the connec-tion strength of the joint is jointly determined by the antagonistic resistance between pipe and groove of sleeve in the axial direction and the radial contact force between pipe and sleeve. The influence of the mechanical properties, groove structure and friction factor on connection strength of joint was systematically studied. The higher the yield strength of sleeve material, the stronger the connection strength. For ev-ery 0.2 mm increase of groove width, the connection strength increases by about 2.4%;for every 0.01 increase of friction factor, the con-nection strength of the joint increases by 18%on average.
