Simulation analysis of shot peening sizing for large-size aluminum alloy thin-wall parts
Aiming at the problem of local forming of shot peening sizing for edge bar and thin-wall sheet surface of parts,the simulation method of shot peening for large aluminum alloy frame parts was established based on the theory of shot peening forming and sizing.Taking the local edge bar as an example,the parametric analysis and discussion were carried out by using the proposed finite element simulation method of shot peening sizing.Finally,the accuracy of the simulation method was verified by theory and test.The results show that the proposed simulation method can be used to predict the shot peening sizing effect of local edge strip of large aluminum alloy frame thin-wall complex parts with variable thickness.Taking the sizing effect of the middle point of local edge bar as an example,the sizing effect is re-lated to the local structural factors such as the thickness and width of the edge bars.Under the same shot peening intensity,the thicker the edge strip,the smaller the width,the less obvious the shape correction effect.In addition,the sizing value is also affected by the ini-tial stress of material,and it is beneficial to improve the sizing effect of the edge bar by increasing the shot peening intensity in a certain range,but there is a certain upper limit of the shot peening sizing effect.
