Research on warm air bending process of high strength steel sheet using online contact heating method
Aimed to the dilemma that common hot forming processes are hard to apply to local forming such as bending of high strength steel,taking the NM450TP wear-resistant high-strength steel as the research object,the novel warm air bending method based on local online contact heating was studied using experiment and numerical simulation.The warm forming characteristics,contact heating transfer behavior and warm bending deformation of NM450TP materials were discussed.The results show that the warm air bending property of NM450TP sheet is greatly improved by local and precise contact heating on the bending deformation area of billet,and the cracking of warm air bending is effectively avoided.This approach offers advantages such as simple die structure,ease of implementation and high heating efficiency,and low energy consumption,and it can provide reference for the warm forming of local air bending of difficult-to-deform materials.
