Rounding precision research on horizontal up-adjustable three-roll plate bending machine considering springback
To improve the rounding forming accuracy,the theoretical models between the horizontal displacement and the rounding radius were established with and without considering the springback.The finite element model of rounding forming was established by ABAQUS software,and the reliability of the theoretical model and the finite element model was verified by experiments.Based on the reliable finite element model,the influence of material,friction force and plate thickness on the rounding forming accuracy was studied.The research results show that the errors between the forming radius and the target radius of the experiment and simulation are 31.3%and 20.7%,re-spectively,when the springback is not considered.The errors after considering springback are reduced to 2.2%and 1.2%,respectively.With the same horizontal displacement,the higher the yield strength of the material,the larger the forming radius.Friction force has little effect on the forming radius;the thicker the sheet metal,the smaller the forming radius.For rounding forming of sheet metal with different materials and different thicknesses,the theoretical model considering springback can obtain more accurate horizontal displacement,then the rounding precision can be improved.
