Research on cold plastic flow behavior and numerical simulation of 6082 aluminum alloy
The cold plastic deformation behaviors of 6082 aluminum alloy were studied by uniaxial tensile test, hardness test and metallo-graphic test. The elongation after fracture and reduction of area of the tensile samples were studied,it is found that both factors increase first and then decrease with the increase of tensile rate.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)analysis exposes that the fracture morpholo-gy in 6082 aluminum alloy exhibites mixed ductile-brittle fracture mode, with a significant presence of broken hard and brittle phases un-der high-speed tension. The optimized constitutive equation was developed through the thorough analysis of the data acquired from the ten-sile tests for 6082 aluminum alloy. The optimized material constitutive model was integrated into finite element software for verification, applying finite element numerical simulation test analysis methods. The relative error of 1.33%is obtained in the verification process,in-dicating that the established model is capable of accurately describing the hardening behavior of 6082 materials during cold plastic deform-ation.
