Cyclic soft hardening behavior of EH36 marine steel at low temperature
To study the relationship between cyclic soft hardening behavior and temperature of EH36 marine steel,the low cycle fatigue life and cyclic deformation behavior of EH36 marine steel at different low temperatures were obtained through cyclic loading tests with con-stant strain amplitude.The results show that the low cycle fatigue life of EH36 marine steel decreases with the decrease of temperature,and the fatigue life of steel is more sensitive to the range of 0-20 ℃.It is found that EH36 marine steel exhibits obvious cyclic hardening behavior by analyzing the hysteresis loop of the steel with different temperatures.In addition,the cyclic hardening rate of steel at different temperatures was also discussed.The cyclic hardening rate of EH36 marine steel is more sensitive to low temperature,and the cyclic hard-ening rate increases approximately linearly with the decrease of temperature.The cyclic hardening rate of EH36 marine steel increases rap-idly in the range of 0-20 ℃.
