凯瑟琳·曼斯菲尔德把毕生的才华献给了短篇小说的创作。她在艺术上取得了杰出成就,体现在小说创作的技巧性上。她运用无情节模式、意识流、内心独白和生活片段式的描写等手法,将探索的笔触深入到人物内心深处,发掘那些貌似平凡甚至平淡内容的深刻内涵。文章以《序曲》为例,揭示曼斯菲尔德在现代短篇小说创作领域所作的探索。
Abstract
Katherine Mansfield devoted all her talent to the creation of short stories. She made great achievements which are best reflected in her writing techniques, such as plotless model, stream of consciousness, interior monologue and episodic description, touching the inner world of the characters and exploring the deep implication hidden in the seemingly plain content. Prelude,as this article writes,best reveals the exploration Mausfield has made in the creation of modern short novels.
