The evolution of Li Dazhao's thought is a process of transformation from traditional intellectuals to modern intellectuals.During his youth,he received traditional imperial examination training and modern school education,and in the process of exploring ways to save the nation,he highly advocated the concept of"constitutional governance".In the early and middle stages of the New Culture Movement,he deeply criticized the traditional ethical and moral concepts repre-sented by Confucius,advocating"national character transformation".However,traditional cultural ideas have always been the foundation of his thinking.In the later stage of the New Culture Movement,he turned to Marxism and,while using tra-ditional culture to promote Marxism,he gave new interpretations to traditional culture,completing the modernity transforma-tion of traditional culture.Li Dazhao's modernity transformation of traditional culture demonstrates the resilience of tradi-tional culture and its inherent value of the times,providing important reference for the combination of Marxist basic princi-ples and excellent traditional Chinese culture in the new era.
