Promoting the development of the discipline of comparative ideological and political education ultimately in-volves constructing an independent knowledge system for comparative ideological and political education.Adhering to a practice-oriented approach means being rooted in the land of China,highlighting problem awareness,and strengthening practical application.This is an important guideline for comparative ideological and political education,as well as the con-struction of an independent knowledge system in this field.Currently,there are problems in the construction of an inde-pendent knowledge system for comparative ideological and political education,such as the need to enhance disciplinary con-sciousness,insufficient characteristics compared to applied disciplines,the need to improve the standardization of discipli-nary construction,and the weakness compared to academic community construction.Focusing on a practice-oriented ap-proach and correctly handling the relationships between theory and practice,inheritance and innovation,autonomy and openness is an inevitable measure to promote high-quality development in comparative ideological and political education and to achieve a breakthrough and transcendence of Western discourse.
