论恻隐之心与孟子政治伦理的建构

从情感主义德性伦理学的角度来说,作为"仁之端"的"恻隐之心"可以被理解为一种道德情感。它本身不是具体的道德规范,但可以为判断具体道德规范的合理性提供标准。借助道德心理学的一些结论,"恻隐之心"作为德性标准的心理机制可以被发掘出来,其所包含的认知、评价以及意欲等维度也具备了指导道德实践的可能性。孟子的政治伦理以"恻隐之心"为起点,涉及人与人、人与社会、人与国家等多个层面,呈现出由情至理、情理合一的特点。而其"不失其赤子之心""反身而诚"等修养论内容,则从道德教化的角度为培养人的内在德性提供了方法,构成了其政治思想的内在层面。如此,孟子的政治伦理实现了内在超越和外在超越的统一。
On the Feeling of Compassion and the Construction of Mencius'Political Ethics
From the perspective of emotive virtue ethics,the"feeling of compassion"as the"beginning of benevo-lence"can be understood as a moral emotion.It is not a specific moral norm itself,but it can provide a standard forjudging the rationality of specific moral norms.With the help of some conclusions from moral psychology,the psychological mecha-nism in which the"feeling of compassion"is regarded as a moral standard can be discovered,and its dimensions of cogni-tion,evaluation,and intention also have the potential to guide moral practice.Mencius'political ethics starts with the con-cept of"compassion"and involves multiple levels such as people to people,people to society,and people to the state,presenting a characteristic of moving from emotions to reason and the unity of emotions and reason.And its cultivation theo-ries such as"not losing one's childlike heart"and"being sincere in the face of adversity"provide methods for cultivating people's inner virtues from the perspective of moral education,forming the internal level of its political ideology.Thus,Mencius'political ethics achieved the unity of internal and external transcendence.
