Preparation of potassium nitrate by decomposing phosphorite powder
Phosphorite powders were decomposed by nitric acid for 2 h at 100 ℃.Adding potassium sulfate to the complex,then calcium was precipitated for (2.5 h) at 100 ℃.Calcium sulfate was filtrated and removed.Potassium nitrate was obtained by cooling,crystallization and drying of filtrate.The experimental results showed that when the molar ratio of nitric acid to phosphorite powder is 20:1,and the molar ratio of potassium sulfate to phosphorite powder is 8 : 1,the purity of potassium nitrate is 80%～90% and the total yield of nitrogen and potassium is 164.32%.
