Research progress on the synthesis and application of long carbon chain methacrylates
The synthesis methods and reaction mechanisms of long carbon chain methacrylates are summa-rized,and the research progress of traditional sulfonic acid,ion-exchange resin,solid acid,alkali metal,metal-loaded,ionic liquid and other catalysts for the synthesis of long carbon chain methacrylates are highlighted,and the characteristics of each catalyst in the application process are sorted out.The progres-ses of domestic and international research on long carbon chain methacrylates in materials,textiles,coating and other applications are reviewed.Since the esterification yield of long carbon chain methacrylates is not high and the application fields are relatively limited,we should continue to develop green and environmen-tally friendly catalyst systems for the synthesis of long carbon chain methacrylates and expand their re-search in different application fields in the future.
