Preparation and drag reduction properties of double aqueous phase polymer emulsions
Aqueous two-phase polymer(NPAM)was synthesized by aqueous dispersion polymerization using acrylamide(AM)and 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid(AMPS)as raw materials.The re-sults showed that the relative molecular weight of NPAM was 3.8 million,the particle distribution was concentrated and the particle size was small,and the average particle size was 182.7 nm.The drag reduc-tion effect of polymer was evaluated in laboratory,and the drag reduction rate reached 80%in clean water and 77%in 10%salt water.According to the analysis of viscoelastic properties,NPAM has strong strain resistance.Aqueous two-phase polymer can be used as drag reducer to provide excellent drag reduction performance for oil and gas field fracturing operation.
