Advances in research on the mechanism of modified biochar to immobilize heavy metals in soil
Immobilization is an effective method to reduce the toxicity of heavy metals in soil. The ability of modified biochar to immobilize heavy metals has achieved remarkable results, and it has been widely a concern in soil remediation. However, the comprehensive mechanism of immobilizing heavy metals in con-taminated soil by modified biochar needs further exploration. Therefore,CiteSpace data analysis software was used to analyze the mechanism of fixing heavy metals in soil by modified biochar.Oxygen-anionic heavy metals As and cationic heavy metals Cd were taken as examples to analyze the mechanism of immo-bilizing heavy metals in soil by modified biochar. The mechanisms of redox, surface coprecipitation,compl-exation,ion exchange, and electrostatic attraction were reviewed. The reasons and methods of different mechanisms of modified biochar enhancing immobilized soil heavy metal were summarized, and the pros-pect of its treatment of heavy metal pollution in soil was prospected, which provided a reference for the ap-plication of modified biochar in the treatment of heavy metal pollution in soil.
