Synthesis and tribological properties of lauramide borate ester water-based lubricant
Through esterification reaction and amidation reaction,N and B extreme pressure adsorption groups were introduced on the basis of lauric acid to synthesize lauric acid amide borate ester lubricant for hydraulic support transmission medium. The structure was characterized by IR and 1 H NMR.The tribolog-ical properties of additive aqueous solution were investigated by four ball method, and its lubrication mechanism was explored. The results show that the additive has good hydrolytic stability. When the mass concentration is 0.4%,the PB value is 696 N.The wear scar diameter decreases gradually with the in-crease of concentration and then tends to be flat. With the increase of load, the wear scar diameter first in-creases,then decreases and then increases. This is because the boundary lubrication is mainly played by adsorption under low load. With the increase of load,Fe2 O3,Fe2 B,BN,B2 O3 and other substances are formed in the contact area of the friction pair, which are stacked on the metal surface to form a high-strength chemical reaction film and an adsorption film together to form a composite film, which plays an effective role in protecting the friction pair.
