A new strategy to improve methanogenesis from anaerobic digestion of waste activated sludge:Conductive materials mediate direct interspecies electron transfer of microorganisms
This paper summarizes the research progress of carbon and iron based conductive materials pro-moting methanogenesis of DIET in recent years was reviewed.The mechanism of direct interspecific elec-tron transfer was summarized,and the structural characteristics,electron transfer mechanism and effect of enhancing anaerobic methanogenesis of waste activated sludge were summarized.The shortcomings of the current research are pointed out,and the future research direction is prospected.
