Reaction process and kinetics of photochlorination synthesis of chloroethylene carbonate
Using vinyl carbonate and chlorine gas as raw materials, chloroethylene carbonate is synthesized under the condition of UV lamp initiation. The effects of light source power, chlorine concentration and temperature on photochlorination reaction were investigated, and the photochlorination tandem reaction ki-netics were explored. The results show that the optimal process conditions for the experiment are:the input power per unit volume is 13.6 W/L UV lamp, the reaction temperature is preferably 60 ℃,and the chlo-rine flow range is 500~750 mL/mino The kinetics experimental results showed that the apparent activa-tion energy for photochlorination main and side reaction were 7.98 kJ/mol and 11.37 kJ/mol respective-ly.The residual error distributions and the statistic tests showed that the proposed kinetic models were reliable and adequate.
