Effect of sludge biochar on soil nutrients and heavy metals
Soils contaminated with heavy metals(Cu,Zn,Cd)were remediated with un-,acid-and alkali-modified sludge biochar(SC1,SC2 and SC3).The influence of soil physical and chemical properties, nutrient indexes and heavy metal morphological distribution were investigated. The results showed that soil pH and conductivity increased significantly after the application of the three SCs;nutrient indexes such as cation exchange, organic matter, effective phosphorus and quick-acting potassium were also positively affected,i.e.,the cation exchange was improved better under the treatment of SC3,the content of organic matter and effective phosphorus was increased more significantly under the treatment of SC2,and the con-tent of quick-acting potassium was improved around 50%;the repair and curing effect of the three heavy metals was better under the treatment of SC3.
