Research progress on remediation of soil chlorinated hydrocarbon pollution by modified biochar-based materials
This research is carried out by the current status of soil chlorinated hydrocarbon pollution in China and the limitations of applying biochar for soil remediation. In light of the practical problems that the properties of biochar are limited by functional groups, the number of adsorption sites and the long-term efficacy in the practical remediation application is poor, this paper systematically reviews the different modification methods and how these methods enhance properties of biochar. The characteristics of biochar-based materials immobilized microorganisms have been analyzed.Furthermore,in order to provide new thoughts for biochar as a remediation material into soil chlorinated hydrocarbons contamination,a detailed investigation into the mechanism and efficiency of acid-alkali modified biochar, metals modified biochar and biochar-based materials immobilized microorganisms on the removal of chlorinated hydrocarbons has been provided.
