Determination of silver, boron and tin in geochemical survey samples by arc direct reading emission spectroscopy
Using light gathering technology E5000,arc direct reading emission spectrometry is commonly used to measure the contents of silver, boron and tin in geochemical survey samples. The best experimental conditions are that the current of 5 A in the pre-combustion phase keeps 10 s and the current of 14 A in the excitation phase keeps 42 s;integrating time 25 s;on the electricity is very flat head round shape,un-der the electricity is very fine neck cup;germanium is the internal standard element. The limits of detec-tion of silver, boron and tin were 0.016,0.95,0.32 μg/g,respectively.The precision was less than 10%,and the test results were all within the range of standard values. This experimental method has the advan-tages of simple operation, short test period and little pollution. It is worthy to be popularized when testing the content of silver, boron and tin in geochemical investigation samples.
