Adsorption of tetracycline in wastewater by organic modified bentonite
In response to the poor removal effect of tetracycline from wastewater by natural bentonite(Bt),BS-12 was used to modify Bt and prepare BS-12 modified bentonite(BS-Bt)adsorption material, studied the adsorption performance of BS-Bt and Bt on tetracycline in wastewater, and the dosage of adsorbent pH and ionic concentrations were discussed. The results show that the adsorption capacity of Bt and BS-Bt for tetracycline increases with the decrease of adsorbent addition amount;with the increase of pH;with the Ca2+concentrations increasing, the adsorption capacity present slowly decreasing trend. The adsorption process of tetracycline by Bt and BS-Bt could be completed rapid adsorption within 1 h,and reached adsorption equilibrium within 4 h,it conforms to the quasi-second order dynamic equation(R2>0.996).The Freundlich model has good nonlinear fitting ability for adsorption data, and adsorption isotherms are"L-type".The adsorption capacity of organically-modified bentonite to tetracycline was significantly higher than that of bentonite, which made it a potential adsorbent for tetracycline wastewater treatment.
