Study on UV resistance of modified waterborne epoxy resin color coatings
Aqueous epoxy color coatings was modified by UV absorbent.Through indoor accelerated aging simulation tests,FTIR tests and SEM tests, the aging mechanism of coatings, the modification mechanism and effect of ultraviolet absorbers were studied. And the road performance of the coating was tested under conditions of immersion, low temperature, high temperature,UV aging, chemical corrosion, and long-term wear. The results show that when the mass fraction of ultraviolet absorber is 5%,the tensile strength and elongation at break of the coating after aging are the largest, and the yellowing value of the coating is the lowest.Ultraviolet radiation can damage weaker chemical bonds in water-based epoxy resins, causing mo-lecular chains to break and lead to aging.UV absorbers absorb UV energy by replacing chemical bonds, improving UV aging resistance. The modified and toughened coating can maintain good sliding resistance, wear resistance, and durability under various conditions.
