Synthesis and performance evaluation of salt and high temperature resistant water-based drilling fluid viscosity enhancers
High temperature resistant copolymer thickener(DT)was prepared by free radical polymeriza-tion using monomers such as N-vinylformamide(NVF),divinylbenzene(DVB),and acrylamide(AM)as the main raw materials. The structure of the polymer system was determined by FTIR and 1H NMR,and the thermal properties of the polymer system were analyzed by thermogravimetric analysis.Evaluated the viscosity changes of polymers before and after high-temperature aging at different temperatures. The results showed that the viscosity retention rate of the thickener DT in the base slurry at 240 ℃ and 15%NaCl reached 87.1%;it has different anti-aging cycles at 200~240 ℃;in a slurry containing 25%NaCl,the viscosity retention rate reaches 130%at 200 ℃;high temperature and high pressure rheological tests have shown that drilling fluids containing DT exhibit constant rheological behavior within the temperature range of 150 ℃ to 180 ℃,which is beneficial for stabilizing the viscosity and strength of drilling fluids at high temperatures.
