Application and prospects of metal-organic framework materials in antibiotic degradation
This review summarizes the applications and prospects of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)in the degradation of antibiotics. The basic characteristics of MOF materials are introduced, including their high surface area, large pore volume, multiple active sites, and tunable structures. The issue of antibiotic pollution and its potential impacts on the environment and human health are discussed. The application of MOFs in antibiotic degradation is examined in detail from three perspectives:photocatalysis, adsorption, and electrocatalysis.Future research directions are outlined, including the development of MOFs with en-hanced performance,in-depth investigations into degradation mechanisms, consideration of influencing fac-tors in real environmental conditions, and the advancement of monitoring and assessment methods.
