Study on the adsorption properties of polystyrene microplastics on Rhodamine B
The adsorption behavior of polystyrene microplastics and Rhodamine B was investigated. The results showed that the adsorption of Rhodamine B by polystyrene microplastics basically reached equilib-rium at 8 h,with an equilibrium concentration of 1.339 mg/g.The optimal pH for adsorption was 4,and the mass fraction of salinity is 0.4‰.The adsorption capacity reached 5.567 mg/g.The adsorption behavior was found to be more consistent with the Freundlich isothermal adsorption model and the pseudo-second-order kinetic adsorption model by adsorption isotherm and adsorption kinetic model fitting, which illustrated a chemical adsorption behavior dominated by adsorption on a monolayer surface and supple-mented by adsorption on a multimolecular layer.
