Research on the reliability of artificial aging resistance of water-based paint for rail vehicles
The artificial accelerated aging resistance of paint films is an important indicator for evaluating the performance of coating systems throughout their entire life cycle. The better the artificial accelerated aging resistance of the paint film, the better the UV anti-aging performance of the coating system, and rela-tively speaking, the longer its service life. This article optimizes the preparation, coating process, and spra-ying requirements of water-based paint for rail vehicles, and prepares the most excellent water-based paint composite coating. It is then compared and tested with oil-based paint for 1 500 h of artificial accelerated aging(B lamp)resistance;use Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and scanning electron mi-croscopy(SEM)to characterize the changes in molecular structure and microstructure during this process. The data results can infer that water-based paint on rail vehicles can completely replace oil-based paint.
