Preparation of TiO2/coffee residue carbon composites and photocatalytic degradation of phenol
Titanium dioxide/coffee residue carbon(TiO2/C)composites were prepared by sol-gel method using waste coffee residue as raw material and tetrabutyl titanate precursor for the degradation of phenol pollutants.TiO2/C Composites were characterized by XRD and SEM.The results show that:when TiO2/C composites was 60%,it was calcined at 600℃for 2 h and pH=6,TiO2/C composites showed superior photocatalytic activity.Under UV light, the degradation rate of 10 mg/L phenol was 95.3%after reaction of 2 g/L catalyst for 240 min,the photocatalytic process conforms to the quasi-first-order kinetic model.
