Construction of an intervention plan for discharge readiness of non-operative patients with lumbar disc herniation based on theory of"timing it right"
Objective:To develop an intervention program for discharge readiness among non-surgical patients with lumbar disc herniation, providing insights for promoting patient recovery and reducing recurrence rates. Methods:An intervention program for discharge readiness among non-surgical patients with lumbar disc herniation, based on the timing it right theory, was developed through theoretical research, literature screening, and Delphi expert consultation. Results:In the second round of consultation, the expert authority coefficient was 0.874,with item importance scores ranging from 3.72 to 5.00,and the Kendall's coefficient of concordance was 0.258(P<0.001).The final program comprised five first-level items including the diagnostic phase, acute phase, discharge readiness phase, adjustment phase, and adaptation phase, with 16 second-level items and 37 third-level items. Conclusion:The developed intervention program for discharge readiness among non-surgical patients with lumbar disc herniation, based on the timing it right theory,is scientific, practical, and implementable, providing a reference for patient recovery and reducing recurrence rates.
