Optimization and application of multidisciplinary information consultation platform for outpatient service led by nurses
Objective:To optimize a nurse-led,outpatient,multidisciplinary,and information-based consultation platform and evaluate its application effects. Methods:A platform optimization team led by nurses was established to collaborate with multiple departments for platform enhancement and upgrading.A before-and-after comparison study was conducted among patients who underwent outpatient multidisciplinary team(MDT)consultations in our hospital from September 2022 to December 2023,to analyze the application effects of the platform before and after optimization. Results:The main optimized functions of the platform included intelligent matching of consultation teams, intelligent push notifications for health education, and the addition of post-consultation follow-up features. After optimization, the clarity rate of treatment plans significantly improved compared to before the consultation(P=0.002),and the proportion of consultations with a waiting time of<48 hours increased(P=0.010).There were no significant changes in satisfaction with consultation services or levels of health management knowledge. Conclusion:The nurse-led,outpatient MDT intelligent consultation platform can significantly enhance the effectiveness of consultations and shorten waiting time for consultation.
