Simulation Study on Cutting Force of Carbon Fiber Composites
Chopped carbon fiber reinforced polyimide is a new high-performance material for aviation, but due to the characteristics of its material, processing is more difficult than traditional metals.Based on the finite element simulation function of ABAQUS software, this paper investigates the influence of process parameters on the cutting force of chopped carbon fiber reinforced polyimide composites in the cutting deformation stage, and the simulation results show that when the cutting speed increases from 10 m/min to 60 m/min,the cutting force has a tendency to increase, and when the cutting depth increases from 3 μm to 18 μm,the cutting force has a small increase trend. The chip formation process is analyzed by the simulation results.
