Study of Double-Sided Simultaneous Laser Oblique Shock Peening Strengthening of TC4 Titanium Alloy Blades
In order to improve the resistance of aero-engine blades to external damage, the leading edge of the blade is strengthened by double-sided simultaneous laser oblique shock, and the effects of double-sided simultaneous laser oblique shock peening on the surface roughness,micro-hardness,residual stress and deformation of the blade are investigated. The results showed that after laser impact, the surface roughness of the blade increased from Ra0.374 μm to Ra1.582 μm.The mean values of micro-hardness of the blade surface increased by 50%.The residual stress on the surface of the blade was compressive stress, and the maximum residual compressive stress was around-354.3 MPa.The maximum deformation of the blade was located at the back of the blade near the tip,and the deformation is closely related to the inhomogeneous residual stress distribution at the leading edge of the blade introduced by laser oblique impact strengthening.
