Influence of Material Properties on Aerodynamic Characteristics of Flexible Bionic Flapping Wings
In order to investigate the changes of aerodynamic characteristics of flexible flapping wing vehicles with different material properties, the aerodynamic characteristics of three-dimensional flexible flapping wing vehicles with different material properties are numerically simulated by the two-way fluid-structure coupling method of Fluent and Transient Structural in ANSYS,using the k-ω turbulence model, respectively, and the instantaneous lifting and drag curves of the flexible flapping wing vehicles are obtained with the change of the elasticity modulus of the wing, and study the pressure distribution and vortex structure change of the spreading flow field of the flapping wing in one cycle. The results show that, within a certain range, increasing the airfoil elastic modulus does not have a significant effect on the instantaneous lift enhancement, and the instantaneous thrust will decrease with the increase of elastic modulus.
