Effect of Interstage Labyrinth Leakage on Compressor Performance
A 1.5-stage compressor model with labyrinth structure was numerically simulated to study the presence of labyrinth leakage and the effects of labyrinth tooth spacing and throttle clearance on compressor performance. The research results show that:the leakage of labyrinth teeth reduces the compressor efficiency, increases the pressure ratio, reduces the peak efficiency by 0.16%,and increases the maximum pressure ratio by 0.27%;the influence of the tooth spacing and throttle clearance of the labyrinth teeth on the main flow of the stator is mainly concentrated on the front edge of the root and the middle and lower reaches of the pressure surface;in the area of the tooth spacing, there is a critical value, below the critical value, the sealing performance weakens with the increase of the tooth spacing, and above the critical value, the sealing performance enhances with the increase of the tooth spacing;throttle clearance and sealing performance show a negative correlation trend.
