Preparation and Performance Analysis of Gangue-Aluminum-Based Ceramic Composites
The coal production waste coal gangue after calcination and ball milling with different mass fractions(5%~35%)were mixed with aluminum powder(5 μm,45 μm),and were sintered to prepare ceramic reinforced aluminum matrix composite. The effects of coal gangue addition and aluminum particle size on the phase composition, mechanical properties and microstructure of ceramic reinforced aluminum matrix composites were studied. The results show that the staggered columnar mullite and the reticulated staggered aluminum nitride whisker play an enhanced role. With the addition of coal gangue, the content of ceramic phase increases, and the addition of coal gangue increases the internal pores of the material, mainly because it reacts when heated, resulting in volume change. This study provides important reference value for the preparation of ceramic reinforced composite materials and the reuse of coal gangue.
