Experimental Study on Seepage Characteristics of Broken Coal and Rock Mass in Goaf with Accumulated Water
Understanding the seepage characteristics of broken coal and rock mass in the col-lapse zone in goaf with accumulated water is crucial to ensure safe and efficient gas extraction. In this paper, the stress-permeability test was carried out on fractured coal and rock masses in goaf with water accumulation by steady-state permeability method using the gas-water two-phase ad-justable flow test system, which obtained the variation characteristics of permeability parameters with axial load under different block sizes and different accumulated water volumes and revealed the seepage law of the broken coal and rock mass in the water-accumulated goaf. The results show that the strain of coal samples gradually increases with the increase of load stress. For the same accumulated water volume, the permeability of coal samples with different block sizes decreases exponentially with the increase of load;for the same block size, the permeability of coal samples with different water volumes decreases with the increase of load and the influence of the water ac-cumulation on the permeability also decreases gradually with the increase of load.
