Research and Application of Interception Dust Removal Technology in Dry Drilling Segment of Broken Soft Coal Seams
Severe dust pollution in the dry drilling of broken soft coal seams jeopardizes em-ployee health and hampers safe production.Because of this,we proposed a dust source manage-ment plan,named as"Multiple-Segment and High-Interception",for the limited space in the boreholes and then developed an interception dust removal device,consisting of a high-pressure quantitative automatic feeder,a monitoring instrument,a strong cyclone foam generator,high-energy composite foam pipeline,and segmental foam curtain generator.In addition,we compared the impact of segmental foam curtain generators with different pressure outlet numbers on dust removal.Field application in the drilling of the 3407 auxiliary retain air roadway showed that when using a segmental foam curtain generator with three pressure outlets,the dust removal effect was optimal at measuring points.Under this optimal condition,the average dust removal rate for total dust and respirable dust reached 94%and 89%,respectively.Its application signifi-cantly reduced the dust concentration at the dry drilling sites.
