Effects of C/N Fertilization on Root Morphology Distribution and Soil Nutrients in Foxtail Millet
To clarify the effects of different C/N ratios on root morphology and distribution of millet,as well as soil nutrient level,'Jingu 21'was used as the object of the study.Five treatments were set, including C1(15g/m2 biochar),C2(20g/m2 biochar),C3(25g/m2 biochar),and N1(3g/m2 nitrogen fertilizer),N2(9g/m2 nitrogen fertilizer).C1 15g/m2 biochar,C2 20g/m2 biochar,C3 25g/m2 biochar and N1 3 g/m2 nitro-gen fertilizer,N2 9 g/m2 nitrogen fertilizer. The results showed that during the jointing stage, the root length, total root surface area, and root volume of C2N2 foxtail millet increased by 134.06%,293.40%,and 500.00%,respectively;The growth rates of ammonium nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, available phosphorus,availa-ble potassium, and organic carbon in mature C2N2 soil were 149.64%,139.00%,10.53%,20.83%,and 136.0%,respectively.In summary, the C2N2 ratio can significantly enhance the growth and development of the root system of'Jingu 21',regulate soil nutrients with an optimal ratio.
