Effect of Substrate on Rooting of Hoya wayetii Cuttings
Using Hoya wayetii as the experimental material,a study was conducted on the effects of five treatments such as hydroponics and substrate cutting on the propagation of Hoya wayetii.The results showed that"Perlite+5 microbial agents"is the optimal substrate for Hoya wayetii,which can reduce the cost of manual management and production.The selected Hoya wayetii should have a length not less than 3.2 cm,with leaves not too tender and a length not less than 3.5 cm.At the beginning of cuttings,moderate shading is necessary,and additional moisture should be provided.In greenhouses of Northern China,watering every 2～3 days with permeable water is suitable.Alternatively,a certain proportion of vermiculite can be added to the substrate to enhance its water retention capacity.
