Difference of Appearance Quality and Physicochemical Properties of Cherry-red Tobacco Leaves from Different Planting Regions in Yunnan
To explore the effects of various tobacco planting regions on the quality of cherry-red tobacco leav-es in Yunnan, the differences in appearance quality and physicochemical properties were analyzed by statistical description, principal component analysis and cluster analysis in different tobacco planting regions. The results showed that the planting regions were involved huge influences on the color and color intensity of medium leaves and the appearance of upper leaves. The equilibrium moisture content of middle and upper tobacco leaves was rel-atively stable, but the leaf density fluctuated greatly, and the coefficient of variation(CV)was 17.05%and 20.52%,respectively.The planting regions also affect the chemical property of upper and middle leaves greatly, with the greatest impact on the contents of nicotine, neonicotinoid, pseudopyrine and chlorine, and the CV was up to 32.89%~97.29%.The results of principal component and cluster analysis showed that the appearance quality of middle and upper leaves and physicochemical properties of middle leaves in central Yunnan were sig-nificantly different from those in other planting regions, indicating that cherry-red tobacco leaves in central Yun-nan had obvious regional characteristics.
