Effects of Different Seedling Retaining Patterns and Densities on Agronomic Traits and Yield of'Jingu 21'Millet
The agronomic characters and yield performance of'Jingu 21'millet were investigated by setting four densities and four methods for retaining seedlings. The results showed that planting density was a significant factor affecting yield. The ear length and ear diameter decreased with the increase of plant density and seedling retaining pattern, and the highest yield was obtained under the 2~3 plants per 667m2 condition. The optimal planting density for'Jingu 21'millet was determined to be 12 000 plants per 667m2,retaining 2~3 plants per 667m2.
